Should the full architecture be recovered or only parts of it? How do you decide what to recover?

"Full architecture" is a meaningless term. An architecture is a way of thinking about a system.The question is whether the architecture that you have recovered is good enough for your purpose. Why are you trying to recover the architecture? You must have a reason. Use that reason to determine whether you have finished. -Ralph Johnson
