Ivor Bosloper obtained his MSc degree in computer science in 2001. Before starting as a PhD student at the at the University of Groningen under the supervision of Jan Bosch, he worked for two years as a software engineer developing web applications. He is currently supervised by Dieter Hammer and his research activities are financed by the SeCSE (Service-Centric System Engineering) project (ESPRIT project IST-511680). The aim of the SeCSE project is to create methods, tools and techniques for system integrators and service providers and to support the cost-effective development and use of dependable services and service-centric applications.

His research efforts are focussed towards architectural models for runtime reconfigurable service centric systems.
