From WICSA Conference Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

I recently joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory as software engineer after performing a year of post-doctoral research with Professor David Garlan at Carnegie Mellon University. My research interests include self-adaptive systems, software architectures, control systems, and software framework design, with an ultimate aim of simplifying and automating complex but routine human tasks. I received a PhD in software engineering from Carnegie Mellon and a BS in computer science from Florida State University. Here's my homepage.

My participation with the WICSA Wiki began in 2004, when Robert Nord, Judy Stafford, and I worked together to set-up a Wiki site for the WICSA Wiki WAN Party. The WWWP was a special working session to spark interest in using Wiki technology to foster idea exchanges among constituents of the software architecture community. We reported our positive experience in ACM SIGSOFT Software Engineering Notes, Volume 30, Number 1, January 2005 (or get the PDF here).

At the Fifth WICSA in 2005, we implemented and featured the WICSA Wiki to capture discussions and foster exchange across the entire conference. I served as the WikiMaster to ensure smooth operations. Since then, I've served a background support role, as the "Wiki Butler" for the WICSA Wiki. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please feel free to scribble on my Talk page.
