Abstract

Software architecture and component-based approach to software development are inherently related. Software architecture and components form two sides of the same coin: software architecture identifies the components that make up the system as well as the interactions among them, whereas the properties and functionality of the components define the overall system behavior.

This working sessions, which combines these approaches, promises a provision of appealing methods for obtaining solutions of component-based and service-oriented systems from a software architecture point of view. Among others the session includes a presentation of emerging methods and techniques for merging existing systems, specialized services in component-based systems, analysis of properties service-oriented systems. We expect lively discussions initiated by these presentations.

Pre-registration for working sessions on the wiki is now closed. If you have not done so already, please sign up for working sessions at the conference registration table on Monday or Tuesday morning. We want to keep these sessions small to foster discussion. Seating is limited in some rooms. Because of this there may be a limit on the number who can participate - if that is the case then the first to sign up will be given preference. Once you have signed up at the registration table and ensured you have a spot, you can return here and add yourself to the list and introduce yourself.
